Asian International School (AIS) emerged as runners-up at the recently concluded T10 Inter-International Alumni Cricket Tournament, following a thrilling final against Wycherley International School, held on the 3rd and 4th of October 2026.

Organized by the Asian International School Alumni Association, the tournament brought together alumni teams representing Asian International School, Wycherley International School, British School in Colombo, Alethea International School, and Colombo International School.

The final provided an exciting conclusion to the tournament. Batting first, AIS posted 100+ runs on the board. Wycherley successfully chased the target with just two balls to spare, securing the championship. AIS claimed the runners-up position, while the British School in Colombo finished third.

Former national cricketer and chairman of Vintage Teas, Mr. Sriantha Rajapakse, attended as chief guest. He was joined by Mr. Harshana Perera, Principal of Asian International School, and Mr. V Pathmanathan, Director of Studies at Asian International School, in presenting awards to the winners.

The tournament celebrated the sporting spirit of alumni from five international schools, rekindling friendships and school rivalries through cricket. For the Asian International School Alumni Association, hosting the event and seeing AIS reach a closely fought final made the occasion particularly memorable, highlighting both sporting achievement and the enduring bonds between school communities.
