Jaeden Sathasivam Claims Bronze Division Title at Sri Lanka Junior Open Golf Championship 2025

Jaeden Sathasivam of Year 6Q Asian International School delivered an impressive performance to secure victory in the Bronze Division at the Sri Lanka Junior Open Golf Championship 2025, held last weekend at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club.The championship, one of the most important junior golf tournaments in the country, attracted over 80 talented young golfers competing across several age divisions over three days of competitive play.This victory marked a milestone for Jaeden, as it was his maiden win in the Bronze segment (age 11+) of the national junior championship. Having recently moved into this category, his performance highlighted both his steady improvement and growing confidence on the course and on the Sri Lanka Junior circuit.

AIS Student Rayyan Lafir Wins National Startup Innovation Competition

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Rayyan Lafir, who won first place at the All Island Schools’ National Startup Innovation Competition, organized by S. Thomas’ College in partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Rayyan designed an innovative walking stick for visually impaired individuals, crafted from PVC pipe and equipped with a sensor-based obstacle detection system. The walking stick provides dual feedback through sound and vibration alerts, offering greater safety and independence to its users. This remarkable accomplishment showcases Rayyan’s creativity, technical skill, and dedication to social innovation.
