The class of Form 3Q went on their community service trip to the Municipal Home for Elders and Children, in Ruhunupura, on the 17th of February.
Led by class representatives Yash Nanayakkara and Seritha Radha, and class teacher Miss Hema Ramakrishna, the children visited the home to connect and converse with the elders.They also planted saplings in the garden as a further service, and, since it was the week of Valentine's, also provided handmade Valentine's cards to the elders. The experience was very enriching for all the students.

AIS Debate Club hosts Debate Championship
The AIS Debate Club hosted the inaugural AIS Debating Championship 2025 held from the 3rd to 5th of January 2025. The tournament, the first of the debating cycle of 2025, was endorsed by the Debater's Council of Sri Lanka, and featured over 120 participants from 20 participating schools comprising of 32 teams.The teams went through 5 preliminary rounds on the 3rd and 4th, following which the Top 16 teams reached the knockout stages and the Top 4 Novice Teams made it to the Novice Break. Eventually, the tournament was won by Elizabeth Moir School's A Team, with DS Senanayake College finishing as the Runner Up after a hard fought final which divided the panel of 5 adjudicators into a 3-2 split. Hosted by the AIS Debating Club, the tournament was a resounding success, attempting to set a tradition to be followed by the school for years to come
